Answer 1 :
Well, last time I brought my bearded dragon with me on an american airlines plane, it was before 9-11 and they let me bring him on with me. Now all those crazy airplane rules he will probably have to go in the cargo. Make sure he has things to do or he will blow his fire breath. I recommend coloring books.
Answer 2 :
A couple of years ago yes, but now you will have to fill out a small amount of paper work and have to go in the cargo at the back of the plane. Or you could just leave him with a close relative so they can take care of him for you.
Answer 3 :
I would leave him/her at home with a close friend/family member. Traveling can be very stressful on the bearded dragon. And they probably would have to put him/her in pet cargo and that would probably be more stressful!
Answer 4 :
I just checked the american airlines website just now, and it states that cats and dogs are the only animals allowed on their air crafts. http://www.aa.com/i18n/travelInformation/specialAssistance/travelingWithPets.jsp If I were you, I would contact an american airlines representative to make sure. All that information is displayed on their website
